Introduction to the company
Established at Fontenay de Bossery (Aube), in the heart of the Nogentais lands, Val Légumes is a family business founded in 1992 by the Vajou brothers.
Reliant on the production of the family farm (for 30%) as well as on the skills of 25 producers, distributed for the most part within a range of 40km, the company Val Légumes packages and markets seasonings (garlic, onions, shallots, banana shallots) and potatoes for storage.
In order to control the whole chain, from the field to the plate, Val Légumes subjects its farm and its rigorously selected producers, brought together at the core of a producers’ organisation (Opelest), to a very strict, environmentally- and product-friendly contract of conditions.
Farmers by nature, the Vajou brothers implement all steps to improve cultivation practices, storage and packaging to give their customers a great quality product. |
